Homes in Memorium:  

 

     

     The Pacific Palisades and Altadena fires of January 2025 were a nightmare for thousands of people who lost their homes and possessions in a matter of hours. Forced to evacuate with little warning, these former homeowners returned days later to find they had nothing left to show of their recent lives.

     Homes in Memorium is a collaborative project of local artists to create paintings of lost homes for those who request them.  Sometimes they have personal photos, but more often we do the best we can with drive-by Google Map screenshots.  We artists are happy to donate our skills and resources to create a reminder of happier times  these unmoored members of our Los Angeles community.
